The Physical Therapy department at Smith County Memorial Hospital is located in the Gardner Wellness & Physical Therapy Center. We provide evaluations and treatment for patients suffering from cardiovascular, neuromuscular, musculoskeletal or skin disorders, disabilities or pain as ordered by physicians.

The Gardner Wellness & Physical Therapy Center at Smith County Memorial Hospital opened for business in 2004. It has been a welcome addition to the hospital and has provided much needed space for the Physical Therapy department as well as providing space for Cardiac Rehabilitation and a pool to provide Aquatic Therapy.

The Gardner Wellness Clinic is open Monday thru Friday from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturdays 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. We are closed on Sunday's and some holidays so please call before coming. The Gardner Wellness & Therapy Center will always have personnel on duty to ensure safety and help with equipment set up and questions.

Also available for use in the wellness clinic is SwimEx pool. The SwimEx pool offers multiple applications.  It is a complete isokinetic aquatic therapy system, the SwimEx puts diverse rehabilitation and conditioning programs at your control, from upper and lower extremity exercises to running, walking, swimming, and explosive plyometrics.  No other pool offers the choices of water depths, work stations, and water resistance levels, or the variety of choices in patient positioning and total body Range of Motion.
