The Information Technology (IT) department at Smith County Memorial Hospital is responsible for all of the computer Hardware and Software that is used locally at the hospital. These responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Maintaining Local Server(s)
Maintaining Local Computers
Upgrading System Software
Upgrading Local Computers
Running Nightly Backups of Server
Resolving Local Computer Issues
Maintaining Virus Software on all Workstations
Updating and Maintaining the Hospital Website
Managing the Hospital Network
Along with the aforementioned responsibilities, the IT department helps the employees of the hospital with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and others.
